I've just been reading up on Essiac tea - a new topic for me. Does anyone have any first-hand experience with this? It's famous as a cancer cure, though the evidence doesn't suppor the claims.

Interestingly (for me) it was first promoted in Bracebridge Ontario Canada where I spent a few summer vacations. Great area - lots of water sports - great place to spend the summer...

Well thinking again.. it might be.. even though we all know that there is no cure to cancer, but I read some where in some old herb book that nature has a cure to cancer.. This tea may be the same one.. Its a subject I outta research on

Well thinking again.. it might be.. even though we all know that there is no cure to cancer, but I read some where in some old herb book that nature has a cure to cancer.. This tea may be the same one.. Its a subject I outta research on

I guess "cure" is the wrong word - "purported cure" would be better.

There's no scientific evidence to back it up, but lots of anecdotal legend about the curing powers of Essiac tea.

The name comes from the nurse who received the recipe from an Indian healer. Her name was Renne Caisse - spell it backwards and you get Essiac.

Thats intresting... Where can this tea be found?? How is it brewed?? I am getting curious to know more about it... A cure or even a purported cure sound great...!!

well yes tea does cure cancer..I am not sure if essiac tea doe or not but green tea definitely have such properties. Regular use of the tea is very good for health and treatment of cancer of any kind.
