Now that the iced tea season is on us - did u know that iced tea in ready to drink form usually contains no tea at all?? it can contain hibiscus as a _base_ and fillers, sucrose etc - nothing like making iced tea with REAL tea!! a bit more hassle but worth it....

I kind of agree with you on the iced tea - it gets worse every year. I used to buy bottled ice tea but have dropped the "disgusting" habit - Iced tea is easy to make and so much better than what you can buy. Why not - everything else is going back to tradition.

Iced tea is so easy to make I don't know why anybody buys it - unless they're on the road.

If you can make tea you can make iced tea - just make it a bit stronger so that the ice doesn't dilute it too much. Add lemon, sugar, or just drink it plain - simple as pie :!:

Yeah - that's exactly my situation. On the go all the time - hardly ever at home :cry:

I used to get my ice tea from restarants or convenience stores...expensive and not as good as what I can make myself. Now I make a batch for the day and keep it in a thermos - can even make iced oolong tea or green tea :idea:

I agree with Dotty - it's so easy to make your own. Why don't you just make up a big batch and take it with you in a thermos? It will taste better, be better for you (no preservatives etc) and cheaper :!:

Well ice tea sounds refreshing. specially during heat at day time. Can some post a recipe on how to make iced green tea? I like green tea. Also can one add lemon to it??
